The company was incorporated on 2nd December, 1991 at Bhavnagar as Varun Management Services Pvt. Ltd. On May 22nd 2007, the name of the company was changed to VMS Industries Pvt. Ltd. to reflect the activities conducted by the company. The company went public in the year 2011.
A boom in the ship breaking industry was observed by the company, and first ship beached in May, 2009 and achieved a handsome turnover from it.
